People with limitations in the knee and hip area, such as arthrodesis (joint stiffening) or amputation, require special support when sitting. The Nitzbon No. 4.4 Arthrodesis chair offers numerous adjustment options to customize the chair individually to the user, enabling ergonomic and comfortable seating.
What makes this chair special is its three-part seat: the two front seat halves can be continuously and independently tilted and locked. The rear part can also be tilted continuously. The ergonomically shaped backrest is also tiltable and height-adjustable.
Safe sitting down and standing up
Safety when sitting down and standing up is ensured by the central brake and the twist-proof gas pressure spring. The central brake simultaneously locks or releases all four castors. The brake lever can be mounted on the left or right side of the frame on request and operated by the user or another person. To prevent sideways twisting motions, the gas pressure spring used for height adjustment of the seat is twist-proof.
Armrests provide reliable support
The Nitzbon No. 4.4 Arthrodesis is available as standard without armrests. For arm support while sitting and reliable assistance when sitting down and standing up, armrests can be ordered as accessories. These armrests are adjustable in height and width, can be lowered to seat level, and can be completely removed. This makes them ideal for lateral transfers, for example from the chair to the bed or to an armchair.
